17 days and counting!

Ok, I know you’re all getting bored with this but I don’t care! It’s my blog and the most pressing issue in my life right now is my wedding in 17 days time.

We’ve spoken to a couple of people over the weekend who are also planning imminent weddings and it seems that for many, stress levels are high.

Now I have to confess that we are feeling the pressure too. There is so much to be done at the last minute but fortunatley my fiancee and I are good at pulling together at stressful times and we’re getting there!

Weddings cost a fortune, no matter which way you do it, because it’s meant to be your one perfect day and you do what it takes to get there. Our only dilemma so far was that, once we had decided we wanted tall gold candelabras as our table centrepieces, do you think we could find them at a sensible price? Could we heck!

Putting on your improvisation heads, we found candelabras of the right height and fanciness and Shaun has been businly spraying them gold. I have to say, they now look amazing and just what I had in mind so that’s that sorted.

An appointment at the florist at the weekend ensured all flowers are sorted but I am unable to make a decision on what should go either side of the aisle entrance. Should it be flowers (mega expensive) or floor standing candles (dangerous given how clumsy I am) or is there an alternative? Juggling clowns maybe or sword swallowers? All suggestions gratefully recieved.
