Holiday Home Insurance For My Protection
February 1, 2010cathyhpFed up with trying to budget for an overseas holiday every year just to get there and find my hotel window faces a wall and the food makes me sick, I’ve decided from now on to stay in the good old UK for my holidays. I want things to go smoothly with minimal planning and hassle involved which led me to purchase my own holiday home and consequently, holiday home insurance.
I’ve found a lovely holiday site situated in my favourite part of The Cotswolds. It offers peace and tranquility just when I need it. The site is managed and kept in ideal conditions all year round so when I’ve had enough for one week, all I do is simply throw a few clothes in a bag, head off to my holiday retreat and everythig is there ready for me. My holiday home is fully equipped with all the parapheranlia that I need - all the home comforts. With no major packing to do or arrangements to make I can simply turn up and switch off!
Of course, the last thing I would want, and I have seen this happen, is to get a call from your holiday home manager to hear that there has been a break in and all your belongings are gone, your home trashed and you have to start all over again to re-build what you had in the home.
This is why I thought it wise to invest in holiday home insurance. There are many weeks that go by without anyone being in the property and can be a bit of a target for criminals, however well the site is managed. Therefore, holiday home insurance means that I have peace of mind all year round that should something go wrong, I have this back up and would not have to start from scratch again.
