Make A Good Impression With Reception Furniture

It has to be said that anything that gives your company visitors a good first impression is a good thing and as strange as it may sound this is exactly why good quality reception furniture should not be overlooked.

Getting people onto your premises is the first step but first impressions do count. As much as we might like to think otherwise, we naturally form opinions on the visual aspects of life - a very basic and immediate reaction but one that is difficult to change nonetheless. Next, we like to be comfortable with not only the people around us but our surroundings - the things that appeal to our basic needs - are we warm? Are we relaxed?

The reception area of any company is the first thing visitors will form an opinion about your whole company on, get this right and you’re halfway to that contract. Light and airy are always essential ingredients in a reception area. This gives the visitors time and space to relax, reflect and breath deeply as opposed to feeling hemmed in and pressured.

Chosse neutral or muted colours. Loud colours may look nice but will cause a cluttered mind and be overbearing.

Next, pay close attention to your reception furniture. Ensure it is all matching and in the best condition possible. The last thing anyone will relax on is a seat that is grubby or threadbare. Space your reception furniture so that visitors aren’t on top of each other or staring awkwardly at each other and if you can plan this to have a hiew from a window then all the better.

A few strategically placed indoor plants help keep the air fresh although there is no substitute for opening the windows first thing in the morning to change the stale air in the room. Next, leave some up to date on topic magazines to keep them occupied.

If you pay attention to all these aspects you will create a good first impression  - the one that normally sticks. The rest is up to you!
