Save Trees – Send an ecard
December 18, 2009cathyhp No Comments »Some believe that the whole global warming theory is just that – a theory. They believe it is a scam made up to extract more money from the public by forcing us to buy into eco-friendly products. Others fear the loss of the Polar bear and London being under water. Regardless of our feelings about this issue we cannot argue the fact that we need to preserve trees for the quality of our air – whether for global warming needs or not. This is the prime time of year for paper to be wasted through Christmas cards so why not try being frugal this year by sending ecards to your friends?
Ecards are an envrionmentally friendly and money saving way of wishing your friends and family all the best over the festive season with a little extra that you don’t get from your average card – animation. Picture the scene – country cottage set in fields of sparkly white snow at dusk, cottage windows lit up warmly and smoke gently wisping from the chimney. A cat strolls into view to take in the festive scenery.
This animation brings your Christmas cards to life and lets face it, with everybody being spread out all over the globe, not so many people are at home for long periods of time to enjoy the paper cards they receive in the post. The vast majority of the population now work via electronic mail and ecards are a lovely change to picking up emails that demand attention. On top of that you will save yourself a fortune on cards and postage and you don’t have to worry about postal strikes.
Use ecards this year and make a difference to your purse, your loved ones and the world at large.
